As of October 1, 2014, Philippine maids who work in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia have to obtain a certificate on authentication of their employment contracts, in addition to their residence and work permits.
Such requirement has been sought by the Philippine Government in order to fight against human trafficking. Without such authentication, the maids may face difficulties to enter into the territories of the mentioned states.
